Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An immediate opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in 8th-grade inclusive settings. This role involves supporting a diverse caseload of 24 students with a variety of disabilities, providing individualized instruction and ensuring compliance with IEP goals. The position operates within a structured school environment, offering a collaborative setting to deliver high-quality special education services.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering inclusive special education instruction tailored to 8th-grade students' needs.
• Managing and supporting a caseload of 24 students across various disabilities.
• Completing and updating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), with approximately one-third of the caseloads IEPs recently conferenced.
• Collaborating with general education teachers and support staff to facilitate student success.
• Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies accordingly.
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with school policies.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification.
• Experience working with middle school students, preferably 8th grade.
• Ability to manage a caseload of diverse learners with varying disabilities.
• Skilled in IEP development and implementation.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Location:

• Position is based in South Bend, IN.

Work Schedule:

• 37.5 hours per week.
• School hours from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
• Contract hours approximately from 8:35 AM to 4:10 PM.
